More Progress on Toilet – Almost Finished

Our beloved donors and sponsors, we are quite pleased to further report that the fixing of an inside toilet for the kids and the staff at our school in Buchanan, Future Leaders Academy, has advanced significantly and satisfactorily. We can now safely say that it is almost finished, except for a few finishing torches whose costs we forgot to include in the original estimate.

It’s worth mentioning that all major pipes have been installed in their appropriate places and positions. Also, the bio-digester septic tank has been fixed, with the necessary chemicals placed in it and sealed. The bio-digester septic tank is a new kind of technology relating to septic tank fixing, where a smaller tank is fixed with some special kinds of chemicals to prevent the tank from getting filled quickly and from polluting the environment with terrible odor.

Most importantly, the two commodes have been installed, and they were tested to see if they would flush, and each did flush easily and satisfactorily.

Once, again, our sincere gratitude to all the individuals and institutions that donated funds for the toilet project. We remain extremely grateful to you all.

Note: One major problem we have just realized is that we forgot to include in the estimate is some finishing-torch costs. For example, we forget to include the purchase and installation of a doors, as well as locks, to the two-room toilet, as they cannot be left opened while people use us. This is a dilemma we are facing right now! Besides the doors and locks, we also need to paint the interior of the toilet. And the total cost is estimated at $97, which we need to raise to complete the project.
