On that day, both old and new students, as well as old and new staffers, met at the school to begin the new school year. Everyone was excited to have been part of the new day of school after a two-month vacation.

At this juncture, we would like to give you what we would call “the progressive good news” of the week. When we opened on Monday, 68 students came. On Tuesday, there were 95 students. By Friday, the kids had become 107. The number may further increase by next week.

Our school helps educate children from underprivileged or poor background, and we are glad we are able to help humanity in this way.

The exterior of the school building has been painted blue, instead of its usual white color, and the windows and the base of the building have been painted cherry red, while the interior maintains its white color. New school year; new look.

As we plan to begin the 2018/2019 school year, one of the worrisome situations is the constant rain, which may affect students’ and, in some places, teachers’ attendance at the beginning of the academic year.

Our thanks to all those who continue to help us to maintain the school which is serving underprivileged children in Buchanan.
