Help Liberia Foundation Community School, our school in Buchanan City, celebrated its Gala Anniversary recently, with scores of activities taking place on the campus and outside the campus.
The school was established in 2005, and the celebration marked its 17th Gala Anniversary. It was a week-long celebration, but the two main days were Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, the school played two games with the Sarah Samson George Public School in Buchanan. Our football team beat their football team 4 goals to 1, while our girls beat their girls’ kickball team 22 points to 4.
Then on Friday, the school had a country cook and a concert of music, with staff, parents and students having fun with various dance strokes.
Many thanks to all of our friends who continue to help us to operate the school, especially our Swedish friends, headed by Lena Thorne Marner and her husband, Anders Marner.
