The reception was warm, the atmosphere was friendly, and the visit was rewarding. The Board members interacted with the kids, with Mrs. Monica Sackie and Mr. Lincoln Blojay admonishing them about the importance of education and advising them to be studious, determined, and respectful.

HLF Teachers – Committed Group of People

Someone once said, “Any good teacher knows how important it is to connect with students and understand their problems.”

In fulfillment of this saying, our dedicated teachers at Help Liberia Foundation Community School in Buchanan City do their best to interact with the lovely children attending the school. They spend time understanding the students and helping them with their problems. We are proud of them and thankful to them for their sacrificial services.

We are also grateful to our Swedish friends and supporters who are helping with teachers’ salary payment, through the effort of Lena Thorne Marner and Anders Marner, an exercise that is helping the teachers to be more committed.

The pictures show some of our teachers at work.

Season’s Greetings To All

The Board is grateful to you for your continuous help to the kids and the school over the years. Thank you for all your help, including helping to pay teachers’ salaries.
As we come to the end of this year and also celebrate the festive season, it is our hope and prayer that we all will have a wonderful time. Once again, Merry Christmas and a very fulfilling New Year.

HLF Students Participate in Chapel Program

On the first Friday of October, HLF students participated in another chapel program at the school and, as usual, it was a great arrangement.

The chapel program is held twice a month – the first Friday and the last Friday. The sole purpose of the chapel program is to help the kids learn or practice how to play assigned roles during actual programs organized by the school. It gives the kids the opportunity to practice how to introduce programs, how to introduce guest speakers, how to sing, how to dramatize stories, how to recite Bible verses, how to say rhymes and poems and so forth.

The chapel program was special in that one of the new teachers named Mark D. Joe, who is a musician and who has been teaching the kids music since he entered the school last month, had the kids practice singing some of the new songs taught them.

Our kids always excitedly look forward to the chapel program, and we are happy that we have instructors who are willing to help our kids.
