HLF Holds Parent-Teacher Association Meeting

In an effort to meet and discuss with parents and guardians about the government’s announcement that all schools in Liberia should close on July 31, our school organized a parent-teacher meeting on Sunday, July 19.

In the meeting, we discussed and agreed that the school should close on July 31, as pronounced by the government. We also discussed the promotional policy for the condensed academic year. The school informed the parents and guardians present that students with a semester average of 80% or above would be the only people to be promoted; however, the parents appealed to the school authority that the promotional average be at least 75%, which the school agreed to after a lengthy discussion on the issue.
